||: Introduction :||
Have you ever thought about something you need in a moment, and then the opportunity to get what you need suddenly shows itself? Ever thought that advertisement shows itself to you and you think to yourself that Siri is listening?
The idea that people have the power to create what they believe in at any given moment comes from the universe providing you with whatever you ask.
This is theoretically achieved through the Law of Attraction, which is based on the idea that people attract signals that points towards the subject a person is thinking about, or Manifestations from the universe, which is based on a theory that people think about certain subjects and then the universe creates the thing you are thinking about, which would then find you (I guess).
This blog article aims to briefly explain how scientific and spiritual theories connect to create a similar concept based on how we manage to find signals and aspects to answer certain thoughts we initially think about.
||: Law of Attraction :||
The philosophical/scientific theory of the Law of attraction involves the idea that is based on the fact that people notice certain subjects when they think about them as their perception filters other signs, as it is noted that every type of subject is everywhere, anywhere, all at once, leading people to notice the things they are looking for.
"You begin to notice a subject of interest everywhere you go because you are thinking about it as a subject is constantly thought of, you start to notice similar energy all around you" (Bennet) which suggests that people start to notice signals pointing towards the initial desire we gain during a particular set of time, which could be from plans/goals you have written down, certain possessions that would be nice to buy, or even food cravings since you saw a KFC advertisement, thus when you find signs pointing towards such thoughts, you begin to think that you subconsciously create it through your thoughts. Regardless, it is generally encouraged for people to act upon their realizations because, "It is important to note, that this popular manifesting guide suggests that believing in something creates it. This science-based approach instead shows us that if we truly believe we can achieve something, we are willing to put in the work to achieve it" (Davis), which states that simply seeing signals that point towards the things you want, is still encouraging you to work towards the idea with your backed up experience, and your willingness for change.
The argument of the Law of Attraction involves you thinking about something, then you suddenly get signals pointing you towards the direction of the subject you were initially thinking about, where in truth, the theory points out that the world always has these signals around you, but because you think about it in a given moment, you subconsciously limit your attention span to filter other signals and begin to notice pointers towards whatever you would think about or look for in any given scenario. You are then suggested to pursue such opportunities using your prior experiences and learned lessons which would then help you get what you want. The Law of Attraction is believed to be signed from the universe providing you with opportunities to gain the thing you want while also continuously helping you realize what you need through any of your life experiences, thus appearing to be a spiritual phenomenon, whereas it is actually you who is filtering other signs from the world, leading you to notice specific opportunities to help you get what you want.
To help you practice the Law of Attraction, it is advised that you should plan out your goals, ambitions, passions, or possessions you would want to gain through lists or journals documenting why you should gain such ideas that the universe would potentially provide for you. Constant practice on thinking about your desires would help you notice pointers that could help you reach your personal goal.
||: Manifestations :||
The psychological/spiritual theory of Manifestations typically refers to the universe creating people's thoughts, feelings, emotions, and beliefs to reality, usually through spiritual mindsets.
It is basically argued that the similar concept of Manifestations or the Law of Attraction cannot be entirely based on logic even though scientists have given the phenomenon a pseudoscientific title, "which is unfortunate because psychological scientists claim to be scientific and factual but are not actually based on the scientific method as there is not really scientific evidence behind manifestation" (Davis), which is a statement I find interesting as the reference suggests that the Law of Attraction/Manifestations is not considered to be a scientific method as people do not typically measure these actions from the world as there is no calculations or specific methods, further stating that Manifestations is more or less related to faith and beliefs and cannot be measured through facts or logic. I agree with this statement based on the definitions of Manifestation as every related opportunity probably has not been accurately recorded and experimented with as people's experiences and attention spans differ from other people.
On that note, a theory suggests that you create your own reality as it is believed that "what you focus on is what you draw into your life. It is suggested that what you believe will happen in your life is what does happen" (Scott) which is more or less a spiritual practice/mindset as Manifestations suggest that Manifestations is based on creating something in the universe based on something you would look for while your mindset would allow the universe to present these opportunities to you as you believe that you need.
I think that Manifestations is based on the world already providing anything you need, while you wouldn't necessarily need it at particular moments, you would end up choosing to look for anything eventually. Since the idea is evolved around drawing in particular subjects, it appears as a phenomenon for people, leaving our decision-making abilities to allow us to chase said thought, or to draw in the opportunities while using our personal abilities more suited for gaining such thoughts. For Manifestations, it is generally believed that the universe would already provide answers to your thoughts, which would then be drawn to you based on your thoughts, emotions, or views on your life/current situation. If something appears to not be going your way, I would suggest that you reflect on your current situation by writing down your feelings or talking to family and friends. Realizing how you typically think would help you realize that positive aspects are attracted to you if you constantly think about happy thoughts.
||: Conclusion :||
The concept of people being able to attract or unintentionally create anything that would help them with their ideas and goals, and it is generally believed that the universe would provide you with everything you need and want as long as you believe in something, then actively go after it. It is believed that the Law of Attraction provides signs that point you toward your subjects of thought as you subconsciously filter other signals that are always around you. While the idea of Manifestations draws in subjects from a person's thoughts or emotions because you subconsciously look for said ideas.
Regardless of the theory you believe in, it is generally a good idea for you to pursue said thoughts as long as you know why you attract certain subjects and how you feel during the moments you start to notice anything from the universe. I would advise that you should note down your goals and wants, ask yourself the best ways to reach said desire, and then you would begin to attract anything you need from your surroundings that would help you realize what resources you have and what you need.
